“Travel Itinerary”
Day 1: CASABLANCA – MEKNES - FEZ
Today we pick you up in Casablanca and start our private tour to Fez with a guided visit to the capital Rabat and Meknes. We will make a short stop to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis and then continue to Fez, where we will arrive in the afternoon. We will spend the night in a traditional Moroccan hotel/riad with dinner.
Day 2: FES – AZROU – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA
Today we will explore the city of Fez, including the Jewish quarter (the Mellah) and the royal palace (the court), which is the largest in the country. We will then leave Fez for Ifrane, nicknamed "the Switzerland of Morocco". On this trip, you will be able to see the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. Stop in Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where you can see barbarian apes. We will have lunch in Midelt in a traditional Moroccan restaurant, then cross the Tizi Ntalghamt pass and drive along the magnificent Ziz Gorge, carved into volcanic rock, and the spectacular Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. We will pass through cozy Berber villages to Erfoud, then Rissani, before reaching Merzouga. We will take a camel ride guided by an experienced camel driver. This camel ride lasts approximately 1 hour until you reach the camp where you will spend the night, in the middle of the highest sand dunes to enjoy the sunset and see the stars. Dinner will be served at the camp.
Day 3 MERZOUGA DESERT - TODGHA GORGES - DADES VALLEY
Today, in the morning, we will witness a magnificent sunrise in the desert, walk through the sand dunes and admire the incredible landscape of the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, we will drive through the palm groves to Rissani, to visit the market (open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), and then to Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble factories. We arrive at the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest canyon in Morocco. Lunch and walk through the gorges to enjoy the magnificent landscape. In the afternoon, we will head to the Dades Valley and spend the night in Boumalne Dades.
DAY 4 : DADES VALLEY – VALLEY OF ROSES – SKOURA – MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we will explore the Dades Valley. Later, we will head to the Valley of Roses, passing through the palm groves of Skoura and the route of the “Thousand Kasbahs” where you can enjoy 17th century kasbahs. We will have lunch in Ouarzazate and, if you wish, we can visit the film studios and the cinema museum. We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and transfer you to your hotel. In the morning you can enjoy a guided walk through the Medina and its famous souks and the famous Kotoubia and stroll through the bustling and vibrant Jema El-Fnaa square at sunset. End of our tour.
